Basic pillars for event organization

Many of those who do not work professionally to the organization of events have surely had to organize their own birthday or wedding party, for example. It is certainly an arduous task that, more than one, will have choked with. Today the event is a powerful tool to communicate and needs a professional to make a proper design, strategy and staging. From my point of view there are three basic pillars in which every event is held: planning, budgeting, and communication.

Planning is very important. From the moment we start organizing an event we have a key date: the day of the event. Therefore, we need to have a professional managing it who knows how to prioritize and plan everything that has to be done until the day D. It is true that not all events have the same level of complexity, but as simple as it may be, controlling production times is one of the most important keys and therefore, it is the number one on this list.

 

The second key is undoubtedly the budget. Determine everything absolutely. We cannot ignore that we live in a capitalist society where everything has a value, and, depending on the money we have, we can do one thing or another. If I have a low budget to get married, I can’t think of doing it in certain spaces that cost a lot of money. Of course, I must admit that, on many occasions, events with a low budget are more successful than others with a lot more budget. Sometimes, ingenuity overcomes the lack of budget and very effective and original things are achieved.

The third, and last basic element, is communication. Its value in social events has a lower level, it is limited to informing the guests. But for events with an organizational nature, made to send a certain message to a specific audience, it is crucial. We can design the best event in the world, and make the perfect production, but if we don’t get people to come all that money invested is going to losses. Let’s not forget that the event, as a tool to communicate, has one of the highest ROI (return of investment factor).
